This series of studio sessions introduces multiple materials, processes and collaborative structures. We weave, tie, pile, cut and fray strips of raw cotton through grids of net; we wrap and tie overlapping colorful fabrics and cords around PVC tubes; we connect everyday objects and materials to visual arts concepts like texture, line and shape; and we explore the interplay between line and movement by responding to open-ended drawing prompts like ‘Walk along the wall’ and ‘Draw with two hands’.
